Our Story

Biography

Alianis Lozada, a mezzo-soprano hailing from Humacao, Puerto Rico, completed her Bachelor of Music degree from The Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico in May 2023. Subsequently, she joined The Florentine Opera Company as a Summer Studio Artist, where she performed the roles of Donna Elvira and Cherubino in abridged versions of Don Giovanni and Le nozze di Figaro. During the fall season of the same year, Ms. Lozada worked with Portland Opera to Go, portraying the role of Tisbe in Rossini's La Cenerentola. In the winter of 2024, Ms. Lozada commenced the Sarasota Opera Apprentice Artist program, where she appeared as Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor.

 

During her time at The Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, Alianis Lozada portrayed various roles, including Véronique in a Spanish production of Bizet's El doctor Milagro, La Ciesca in Puccini's Gianni Schicci, and Mrs. Nolan in Menotti's The Medium. In 2022, Alianis Lozada received an Encouragement Award from the Puerto Rico District of the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition.
